Sheree Rayford is many things, including a wife, mother, daughter, and sister, but after all of those things, I am a photographer, creative and graphic designer. I am inspired by authentic and candid moments and I specialize in capturing and preserving joy and laughter.
Those who know me and my story can attest to my faith in God and my positive spirit. My life has been riddled with tragedies and reasons to quit, but my mother's strength through devastating divorces and her courage and poise, while raising three girls alone, taught me that all things are possible when you trust your gut and believe in yourself. She raised us to always be ourselves, smile big and laugh loud.
My greatest blessings are a man (Jeff), two boys (TJ and Jayvon), and a little girl (Rhylee). Finding my husband and building our family together has proven to be the greatest accomplishment of my life. Jeff is my anchor and my rock. He keeps my creative spirit grounded and stops me from floating into the clouds. We are currently living happily ever after in Madison, Wisconsin.
For as long as I can remember, I've been in love with photography. On a rainy day when I was 12 years old I convinced my little sisters to dress up in pretty dresses and dance around outside while I snapped away with my mom's camera. My mom came home to three soaking wet daughters and about seven used rolls of film. Although she wasn't as excited as I was about my photoshoot, she developed every roll and nurtured my passion.
Art in general has taught me to slow down and pay attention to the details. So much of our story is told in a twinkle of an eye, the corners of a smile, and the glance at a loved one. I've grown away from posed pictures and moved towards developing candid memories. I absolutely love to get to know my clients through real interactions and listening to their stories. I would love the chance to get to know you and your loved ones and help you cherish your special moments forever.
